Essential Power…Infinite Possibilities

About Us

eCobalt (TSX: ECS) (OTCQX: ECSIF) (FRA: ECO) is an advanced-stage, near-term primary cobalt producer. We are committed to providing clean cobalt products essential for the rapidly growing rechargeable battery and renewable energy sectors, made safely, responsibly, and transparently in the United States.

Our Idaho Cobalt Project (“ICP”) is located in the historic Idaho Cobalt Belt, near the town of Salmon in eastern Idaho. As the only environmentally permitted, primary cobalt project in the United States, the ICP has the opportunity to become a reliable and transparent source of cobalt supply in the face of rapidly growing demand for the metal. The project is 100% owned by eCobalt’s wholly owned subsidiary, Formation Capital Corporation, U.S.

Over $135M has been spent on the project to-date, there is extensive infrastructure already in place and construction activities are ongoing. Commercial production is expected in 2020. The project also demonstrates favourable long-term resource growth opportunities. Learn more…

Currently, ~100,000 tonnes of cobalt is produced in the world per year. The market for cobalt is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 7.7% over the next 5 years primarily due to growing demand for electric vehicles. Countries like Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and China have vowed to ban Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs) over the course of the next 10 to 20 years, making way for new renewable and more environmentally friendly energy sources, such as the lithium-ion batteries that power electric vehicles and rechargeable batteries like those found in mobile phones.
